Property Manager, North America

Department: Property

Location:Laval, QC; Toronto, ON; Calgary, AB

Type: Permanent, Full-time

THE ROLE

Manage a portfolio of leased and owned operating convenience store sites within a large Business Unit. Responsible for landlord communications, lease negotiations, tenant relations, operations coordination, and related property management items.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:

  • Implements tactical actions identified in comprehensive network plan for each market in region, while providing insight for ongoing structure of network plan.

  • Negotiates and structures transactions suitable to company’s financial goals and strategies.

  • Researches, analyzes and presents comprehensive presentation packages for each site to senior and executive level management for review and approval. Conducts further research and analysis as required.

  • Reports the status of all asset management projects for construction, marketing and store operations.

  • Must have working market knowledge of competition strategy and locations.

  • Ensures compliance with requirements, policies and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies, procedures and governmental regulations; advising management on needed actions.

  • Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Bilingual in French and English.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.

  • Two years of experience in General Commercial Brokerage, Development, Finance or Corporate Real Estate Management with emphasis in Commercial/Retail/Fuel/C-Store industries. Requires advanced skills in Project/Property Economic & Feasibility Analysis.

  • Proficiency in MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle required. Experience with demographic mapping software highly desirable.

  • Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a busy environment with multiple changing priorities and deadlines. Must be willing to adapt to the changing responsibilities of the position.
